Fuller Austin Inc., (Fuller Austin) Western Canada’s largest specialty trade contractor, has served the market for 50 years. Established in 1962, Fuller Austin’s record of customer satisfaction and repeat business has enabled us to become one of the leading companies in Canada in the mechanical insulation, cladding, HVAC, scaffolding, fire stop and asbestos abatement disciplines.

Fuller Austin extends this wide range of contracting services to the petrochemical, mining, power, LNG and pulp & paper industries. Recognizing the changing demands of the industrial sector, Fuller Austin utilizes leading edge technology and equipment to conform to any specification or project requirement.

Safety is a key element of every project that Fuller Austin performs and we lead the industry with a safety record much better than the industry standards.

  • 1944 Fuller Austin Insulation Company established in Houston Texas.
  • 1962 Fuller Austin Insulation Company purchases Ascon Insulation Calgary Alberta. The Canadian operations are renamed Fuller Austin of Canada Ltd.
  • 1967 Fuller Austin of Canada Ltd. successfully completes the Great Canadian Oil Sands project – the single largest insulation contract awarded to a single contractor in North America at the time.
  • 1977 Dynalectron Corporation acquires Fuller Austin Insulation Company and Fuller Austin of Canada.
  • 1983 Fuller Austin of Canada Ltd. opens branch office in Vancouver, B.C.
  • 1988 Stuart Olson acquires Fuller Austin of Canada Ltd. from Dynalectron Corporation. The company name is changed to Fuller Austin Insulation Inc.
  • 1988 Fuller Austin Insulation Inc. opens branch office in Regina, Saskatchewan.
  • 1991 Fuller Austin Insulation Inc. sells insulation distribution division to Steels Industrial.
  • 2000 Fuller Austin Insulation Inc. head office is relocated to Edmonton.
  • 2001 Fuller Austin Insulation Inc. acquires Lakehead Insulation of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
  • 2009 Fuller Austin Insulation Inc. name is changed to Fuller Austin Inc.

Warren Stein – Vice President Operations

Warren Stein was appointed VP Operations for Fuller Austin in September, 2016. Prior to that, Warren was VP Operations for Stuart Olson Industrial and its subsidiary Laird Electric Inc.

During his 15 years in the engineering and construction industry Mr. Stein has been involved in all aspects of project work, including design, estimating, project management and operations management.

Mr. Stein is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from McGill University.
